After 6 days in Iceland’s landscape we have experienced volcano craters, amazing waterfalls, geysers, lava, lava tunnels, black sand beaches, wild seas, geothermal lagoons, national parks, amazing views, tectonic plate boundaries (including in a shopping centre 🤔), ice caves, beautiful lakes and WILD weather 🌨. Not seen the Northern Lights as we type this, due to the weather, second attempt/chance tonight….fingers crossed 🤞.

Driving has been an experience. Icelanders have a very different approach to driving in snow and it has to get very bad for major roads to be closed (which is did 🙄).

We have enjoyed Reykjavik, loved the hotel, found great coffee places (one of which we are sitting in as we type this) and good bars. We didn’t make it to Vik due to the weather and road closures, but that’s Iceland!

Onward to Canada.
